More than just a pre-registered, multiple lesson, educational program, the Bristol Mountain Brigade Program is designed to take your skiing or snowboarding skills to a new level, meet new friends, and participate in a series of fun activities available only to Brigade participants. Students are placed in classes based on age and skill level. Class sizes range from 8 to 10 students. The group of students remains with the same instructor through the duration of the program. Let us know the first day of the program if your child would like to be placed with a friend or a specific instructor. Click here for the 2007-08 Brigade Brochure!
Wee-Ski Brigade
To enroll with the Wee-Ski ages 5-7 Brigade, your child must be skiing at the intermediate level and be capable of skiing all intermediate (blue square) terrain. Children must also be able to ride the Sunset, Morning Star, and Comet Express chairlifts without supervision. The rate for the 5-7 age group reflects the small class size of six or fewer. Snowboarding is not available for this age group. Daily lessons are available for beginners.
Junior Brigade
Join a friend or make new ones. Available to skiers and snowboarders ages 8-18, the Junior Brigade accepts all ability levels from the beginner to the advanced for either skiing or snowboarding.
Forerunners
For advanced to expert skiers, ages 8-18, Forerunners introduces participants to the basic fundamentals of ski racing as well as personal skiing development. On March 11th, the Forerunners will finish the season by competing in the Bristol Mountain Race Club Championships. Trophies will be awarded to all age groups for both girls and boys.
Parkrunners
Parkrunners introduces 8-18 year old intermediate and advanced skiers or snowboarders to the terrain parks. Basic skills of riding the pipe, rails, and big air hits are developed. Safe use and etiquette within the park is stressed. Participants will also be instructed in flat terrain and moguls.
Mogulrunners
Mogulrunners is designed to introduce 8-18 year old intermediate and advanced skiers to freestyle skiing. It is not designed for those wishing to compete on a regular basis, but if participants develop an interest in competing in local events, the Freestyle Team coaching staff will provide coaching at those events.
