There is plenty of open space during the spring, summer, and fall -- a perfect setting for picnics. Outdoor games and a playground are available. A chairlift ride (Fall Sky Rides operating hours) to the mountain summit provides the perfect means to cap off your picnic.
Picnic areas:
Summit Grill located at the Summit Demo Center
Opened as weather and crowds dictate. If open a banner will be placed near the Comet Express area) . Highly weather dependent.
Barbecue grill-self service:
Located at the top of the upper meteor trail on a small deck. Between the Comet Express and the Rocket triple at the top of the mountain. You will need to bring your own barbecue materials.
Patio area:
Located on the slopeside area in front of the Sunset base lodge. Picnic table available.
For the Children:
- Swings and slide to the south of the Sunset Lodge and Get Sking Center
Fall Chairlift Rides
The Comet Express quad chairlift takes visitors on an almost one-mile ride up 1,200 vertical feet to the top of Bristol Mountain. In planning your day’s activities, allow up to a 20-minute chairlift ride each way.
